Art exhibitions are part of life at The Hughenden.
Artist Stephen James is the artist-in-residence. His powerful work is primarily figurative influenced by German and Australian Expressionism. His paintings often explore mythical themes and are layered with meaning and colour. His evocative portraits of author Amanda Lohrey and artistic Director of the Brandenburg Orchestra Paul Dwyer hang in the upstairs foyer of The Hughenden.

Sir Victor plays the baby grand piano on Friday and Saturday nights and often for the pleasure of visitors.
