Guests can explore The Hughenden's rich history throughout the hotel. Since it was first built in the 1870s, it has gone from grand family residence to Masonic hall to a ladies' college. It features the original black marble fireplaces, grand staircase and exquisitely etched glass window panes.

Since opening as a boutique hotel in 1993 The Hughenden has become Sydney's premier art and literary hotel, hosting regular art exhibitions and literary events.
